Objectives / goals of the project

Publishing a collective volume consisting of:

• a linguistic study of the meteorological terminology, organized in several chapters containing as many analyzes of the lexico-grammatical fields;
• The Atmospheric Phenomena Dictionary (DFA), which organizes lexicographically the illustrative material representing the foundation of the linguistic study;
• a general index of terms, containing the lexical elements included in the linguistic study.

Writing down a supplementary series of analyzes, making use of and completing the scientific content of the DFA. For objective reasons, these analyzes could not be included in the linguistic study from the published volume.

• the lexical group of Romanian designations meaning vreme bună/vreme rea “good weather/ bad weather”, senin “cloudness, serene”, însenina “to clear up”;
• contrastive conclusions corresponding to the analyzes of lexical fields other than the field of atmospheric phenomena (for instance, in comparison with the lexical field of cosmic or telluric phenomena);
• designations of the atmospheric phenomena in a Romance context.
